What do the sacraments mean to us?

God’s presence with us is not limited to the sacraments, but we recognize the sacraments as particular ways that God uses material things - bread, wine, and water - to be means of grace for us. When we come to the font to be baptized, or to the altar to be fed, we are acknowledging our need for God and we leave with a renewed purpose to do the work God has given us to do, to be faithful witnesses of Christ in the world.
